TRUCKS FOR TROOPS®
April 06, 2003
A total of 210 trucks drove non-stop from the North Shore Mall in Peabody, into Boston, pass the Government Center and the State House, then to Fuddruckers in Saugus. Each truck flew a 3’ x 5’ or larger American Flag. This event was neither anti-war nor pro-war. It was strictly to show our support for our U.S. Troops.
TRUCKS FOR TROOPS® was a giant success.

The Mass Mudders extend their gratitude to all who helped and/or participated in this flawless event:

Quote for the day: Do you realize we just brought over 200 rednecks into Boston and shut the streets down?! That will never be reproduced.

GOD BLESS OUR TROOPS!!!!!!

June 30, 2003
Marine says thanks from Iraq

To my friends, family, citizens of Gloucester and the Cape Ann community,
I've been gone from Gloucester for about four months now and spent nearly three months here in An Nasiriya, Iraq. We've seen some good times as well as our fair share of bad ones so far during our stay here, but I'm writing you all today for one reason only; to do the best I can to convey my most heartfelt thanks upon you.

I've received countless letters and packages from all of you and from all over Cape Ann since I left home. Some of them I've received were even sent by people who I've never had the pleasure to meet or from organizations that I've never heard of, who asked for nothing in return. In fact they just wanted to thank me for my service and try and show their support for us over here. I've always known that I was from the greatest country on earth, but I've never felt more proud of it then when I see how we come together when we need to most.

I've done the best I can to try and respond to as many letters as possible, but I'm afraid that I may not get to all of them. My hope is that this letter can convey to you that all of your support does not fall on deaf ears. We can all hear you loud and clear from 8,000 miles away and we are extremely thankful for everything that you do.

So from all the Marines here, to all of you who do your part back home... thank you.

Thank you for the letters. Thank you for the packages. Thank you for all the thoughts and prayers. But most of all thank you for being the incredible American patriots that you all are. Your commitment and support of our great nation is something that is to be commended and is as important and great an asset as those who stand a post in its defense.

As I close allow me to say one final thank you from this Marine. I have been awed by you all, friends, family and those fellow patriots alike. We have done our best over here to make you all proud and hope to finish the task honorably and come home soon. I hope my contribution to the effort here stands worthy of such great people.
